Shamanism
Shamanism is a sacred way to journey into your soul. It is one of the oldest healing traditions know to human kind & is thought to have been dated back fifty thousand years. The practice of Shamanism is not a religion but a way of life. Shamans journey to the otherworld; a non-ordinary realm, to seek the deepest workings of the soul. The Shamanic healer is the wounded healer who facilitates healing through journeying into altered realities to discover and work with power animals, guides, nature spirits & elemental forces. The Shaman returns from the otherworld with knowledge from the spirits that can be used in ordinary consciousness to benefit the individual or community.
In Celtic Shamanism we follow the cultural beliefs and history and ways of the Celtic people. Although the bases for Shamanism is the same in all cultures, some of the tools we use are different. For example, the silven bough that you see on this page is a unique tool used by only celtic shaman. My DNA is celtic and therefore I work with my own celtic ancestors. With that said, I still work on a deep level with the spirits of this land that I live on. I walk the Wolven path tradition which has been passed on from my elders in England and brought to Canada by Dr. John Luke Edwards. To see the link of my teacher you are welcome to look at Reverend Dr. John-Luke Edwards' web site.
As a Shamanic healer, I work towards teaching people to empower themselves. I am available for Shamanic counselling, ceremonies, journeying, soul retrieval, extraction work & other various deep healing work which will help to find deeper inner knowledge, release of old wounds, change, wisdom, strength, rebirth & joy. Following the path of shamanism allows us to reconnect with ourselves in a deep & profound way; releasing old patterns, belief systems and habits that no longer serve us. The soul is then replenished & reborn with new purpose, allowing us the return to a state of inner harmony.
I am also a Shamanic Smith: One who creates shamanic tools such as drums, rattles, silven boughs, medicine bowls, etc. Each one of these tools is handcrafted with the utmost integrity giving each individual piece special ceremony with the intention of healing going into the shamanic tool. My background as a professional artist, graphic designer, & photographer allows for a solid foundation in my creative skills. I teach classes in drum making with reverence in teaching the sacred dance that is necessary between the drum, it's maker, the sacred wooden cedar hoop and the elk who provides the hide. I also provide commission work for finished paintings on drums and rattles.
I do have other healing modes that I use but they are not affiliated with Shamanism but are rather their own separate healing modality. These include, Tarot (20 years of readings), Reiki (master level), & sound healing. I use chanting and didgeridoo. You are welcome to explore those links for more information on those services.
